The work depicts Master Xu Beihong's "Galloping Horse" on a purple clay teapot, recreating the emotional gesture of a galloping horse. The two traditional Chinese arts of traditional Chinese painting and purple clay are integrated to achieve cross-sector art exchanges.
This is the revolutionary innovation of teacher Tang Minjie's Beihong art form. The horse is running on the front of the pot body. The lines of the head, neck and shoulders, and even the abdomen and thighs are heavily and powerfully carved. The large area of white space highlights the hierarchical structure. The flexible brushstrokes make the horses come alive with color, as if they are about to burst out of the painting, almost like the real thing. On the back of the pot is the inscription "Quietness Zhiyuan" written by Liao Wenjing, Mrs. Xu Beihong.
