Pu’er tea lovers’ doubts! Should I choose single plant or mixed tea?

Pu’er tea lovers’ doubts! Should I choose single plant or mixed tea?

"Should Pu'er tea be drunk from a single plant or from mixed plants?" I believe this question has always been a question in the minds of many Pu'er tea lovers. Today I will share with you the characteristics of single plants and mixed plants. Maybe you will know how to drink it after reading it. choose!

What is "single plant, mixed harvesting"?

To put it simply, a single plant refers to the tea greens collected from only one ancient tea tree. From picking to tea making, they are not mixed with other tea greens, but are made separately into Pu'er tea. Mixed harvesting means that tea greens are collected from multiple ancient trees from the same tea garden but of different ages, and then undergo a preliminary production process. The editor will take single plant and mixed tea from the same tea area as an example to talk about the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of the two.

Why is the price of single tea plant more expensive than mixed tea?

To make single-plant tea, the conditions are much higher than mixed harvesting. First of all, the tea tree must be an ancient tea tree that is more than a hundred years old. Because the tea produced by the old ancient tea tree will have a more outstanding taste, it is relatively mellower than the platform tea and arbor tea, and the aroma and tea flavor are also more outstanding. This makes the tea taste more outstanding. The tea cyanine of ancient tea trees has the value of being made into "single tea".

Pu'er tea lovers may have heard that "tea from an ancient tree may not be tea from a single plant, but tea from a single plant must be tea from an ancient tree." Although this statement may not be completely accurate, it can also clearly explain the value of tea from a single plant and its uses. The materials are more particular and strict.

Secondly, an ancient tea tree does not produce much tea greens, so the output is naturally scarce. Ancient tea trees that are 2 to 300 years old are about 3 meters tall. Each ancient tree can harvest about ten kilograms of fresh leaves, and the finished tea from a single plant is only a few kilograms. This shows how precious a single tea plant is. It is not difficult to understand why the price is higher than mixed mining.

Is a single plant better than a mixed harvest?

Whether it is a single plant or a mixed harvest, they all have their own characteristics. If we compare the tea leaves from the same tea garden, the tea from a single plant is better because it has obvious mountain characteristics and pure taste . The tea soup has a high and long fragrance. You can feel the obvious tea flavor in the mouth. The taste fully expresses the most original and classic mountain top of this tea area. Flavor, also because it is a single plant, the tea soup will have a simpler taste.

Mixed harvesting is characterized by rich flavor and excellent multi-layered sense . Because the raw materials of tea cyanine come from tea trees of different ages, the tea flavor expression will be relatively more complex than that of a single plant. Of course, the yield of mixed tea is more than that of a single tea plant, and the price is also more affordable. As for quality, the two should be judged independently. It's just that the tea from a single plant is picked separately, so the quality will be more uniform and consistent, and it is generally recognized as being of relatively better quality.

Should you choose single plant tea instead of mixed tea?

uncertain! Single-plant tea and blended tea have different flavors. I have tasted single-plant and blended teas from the same tea area. Just because I like tea with richer taste, I will choose blended tea. In the final analysis, the most basic principle of choosing tea is to choose the one that best suits your taste, and avoid blindly choosing tea from a single plant . Before buying tea, you should try the tea to understand the difference between the two, which is the correct purchasing process.
