 [New Generation of Purple Clay] - Ma Ji, born in 1989, is a national assistant arts and crafts artist and grew up in a family of pottery artists. In 2007, he entered the Chinese Arts and Crafts Master Xu Xiutang Art Museum (Changle Pottery) to learn handmade pot making. In 2010, he entered the Chinese Ceramic Art Master Fan Yongliang's Zisha Art Museum and learned pot making from his son, Fan Zhuoqun, a national senior arts and crafts master. In 2012, he learned flower craftsmanship from the powerful master Gao Junfeng. In 2016, he became a disciple of his uncle, Wang Fujun, a researcher-level senior arts and crafts artist and a celebrity in ceramic art in Jiangsu Province. In the same year, he established his personal studio [Ji Xiu Tang] with his wife Shenyang (a disciple of national senior arts and crafts artist Zhang Zhiqing).
