 [New Generation of Purple Clay] - Ma Ji, born in 1989, is a national assistant arts and crafts artist and grew up in a family of pottery artists. In 2007, he entered the Chinese Arts and Crafts Master Xu Xiutang Art Museum (Channgle Pottery) to learn hand-made pots. In 2010, he entered the Chinese Ceramic Art Master Fan Yongliang's Zisha Art Museum to learn pot-making from his son, Fan Zhuoqun, a national senior arts and crafts master. In 2012, he learned flower craftsmanship from the powerful master Gao Junfeng. In 2016, he became a disciple of his uncle, Wang Fujun, a researcher-level senior arts and crafts artist and a celebrity in ceramic art in Jiangsu Province. In the same year, he established his personal studio [Ji Xiu Tang] with his wife Shenyang (a disciple of national senior arts and crafts artist Zhang Zhiqing).
