[Disciple Ren Bei'an] Xu Xuesong has been interested in purple clay pottery since he was young and has been engaged in purple clay pottery for nearly 20 years. In 2003, he was fortunate enough to receive teachings from his brother-in-law, Mr. Ren Bei'an, through words and deeds, and he had a high understanding of the essence of traditional handicrafts. After more than ten years of careful study and exploration in pottery, his skills have become increasingly mature and he has learned from the strengths of others.

Teacher Xu Xuesong is good at hand-made production and modeling design. He focuses on integrating innovative elements into traditional purple clay production, while insisting on using light-element ware as the main form of expression. His works have smooth lines, novel shapes, exquisite craftsmanship, full of charm, and unique artistic style and connotation. In the creative process, he incorporated his own understanding and perception of purple sand, truly creating something new in tradition.
