[Background of the work]:
This crooked plum pile purple sand set pays tribute to the works of Chen Mingyuan, a famous purple sand master in the Qing Dynasty. The original Existing in the Seattle Museum in the United States, Mr. Chen Cheng is the apprentice of the purple clay master He Daohong. He is the only purple clay craftsman in China who has obtained all the original information. The work can be said to be very realistic.
The set also pays tribute to his master, Mr. He Daohong, a master of arts and crafts. His "Crooked Mouth Plum Pile Set Pot" was sold at the Hanhai Autumn Auction in 2013 for a brilliant result of 12.65 million yuan, which reflects the plum pile. The artistic and cultural value of the pot.
The craftsmanship of the plum pile pot is complicated and time-consuming, which tests the pot-making skills of the purple clay craftsmen. The head of the plum pile is one of the difficulties. The teapot needs to balance the posture of the tree trunk to achieve the harmony of natural beauty. Irregular lids are also a source of difficulty. The failure rate of teapots is very high. Irregular lids must be opened. To ensure that the lid and the body of the pot match and are tight, it is an absolute test of the skills of the craftsman.
