[Disciple of Gao Xufeng, Aesthetic Artist] Wang Lili, studied under Gao Xufeng, a powerful contemporary potter and founder of Shiyuan. She is good at making traditional utensils and has solid craftsmanship. She especially has a unique aesthetic vision for pots and creates wonderful works that blend the ancient and the modern.

Features of the teapot: The name of the work [Xi Shi] comes from Xi Shi, one of the four great beauties in China, from the Spring and Autumn Period. It means that the work is as graceful and charming as Xi Shi. Playing with the teapot or making tea in the tea room will show the beauty of the teapot.

This pot is created based on the traditional Wendan pot. The large flat bottom is extremely difficult to craft, which tests the craftsman's pot-making ability. Teacher Wang Lili changed the spout to a slightly longer and flat design, and the spout was also changed to retain Wen Dan's round and soft style, but with a bit of neatness, so that you can better feel the skeleton of the work. Such changes are closer to the craftsmen's appreciation of modern women. Although they have a gentle and delicate posture, they still have the ability to shoulder heavy responsibilities.
