[ Personal biography of a national-level pottery carver] -

Li Shangqing

National senior industrial artist,

A disciple of Mr. Bao Zhiqiang, a master of Chinese arts and crafts. In the spring of 2013, he was awarded the title of "Outstanding Young Ceramic Artist" by the Ceramic Industry Association. In May 2017, he won the title of "Top Ten (Excellent) Young Ceramics Artists in Yixing, the City of Pottery", Executive Director of Wuxi Taihu Ceramics Research Institute (the first domestic institution specializing in the study of ceramics), Distinguished Professor of Shandong Polytechnic Vocational College, Yixing Vice president of the Municipal Ceramics Association, member of the Jiangsu Young Artists Association, and member of the Wuxi Artists Association.

He successively studied under the great monk Guoxing, Mr. Bao Zhiqiang, a master of Chinese arts and crafts, and Mr. Wu Feng, a professor at Shandong Qufu Normal University. The work emphasizes artistic conception, is ancient and elegant, and has comprehensive pottery carving skills. He was the first to elevate the "random knife carving method" to a theoretical level. Many of his works have been included or serialized in more than a dozen domestic art media, and the National Large Collection Monthly has made many special reports on his life and art. In the spring of 2012, the column team of "Collecting the World" shot a feature film for him - "Buddhist Pottery Carver Li Shangqing"; in the summer of 2012, the column team of "Tao Xingtianxia" shot a feature film for him - "The Wonderful Life Under the Carving Knife - -Li Shangqing".

[Senior pot player, personally taught by the master] - Jiang Shuming

National-level senior arts and crafts artist, born in Yixing, Jiangsu Province in 1972, graduated from Jiangnan University with a bachelor's degree in arts and crafts. He studied under Wang Fujun, a senior arts and crafts artist at the Zisha Craft Factory Training Center. He has solid basic skills, comprehensive pot making skills and strong expressiveness. In the exploration of Zisha art, he is good at organically combining paintings, reliefs and pots, with poetic themes and graceful shapes. His creative works and papers have been published in professional publications many times and are highly praised by pot industry enthusiasts and collectors.

In 2006, "Sanyou Pot" won the Excellence Award in the All-Handmade Pottery Competition

In 2007, "Birthday Pot" won the Excellence Award in the Handmade Pottery Competition.

In 2007, "The Pot Returning Fully Loaded" was permanently collected by Wuxi Museum

In 2008, "Ice Pattern Sanyou Kettle" won the third prize in the all-handmade competition.

In 2011, the "Round Bamboo Pot" was selected by Famous Famous People, Famous Pots - an event to commemorate the first anniversary of the Revolution of 1911. At the same time, the "Round Bamboo Pot" was collected by Ta Kung Pao Hong Kong Co., Ltd. and the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taiwan.

In 2012, the "Gentlemen's Friendship" teapot won the third prize in the all-handmade competition.

In 2012, the papers "A Brief Discussion on Purple Clay Flower Ware" and "A Brief Discussion on the Creative Interest of the Purple Clay Flower Ware "Song Duan Pot" were published in "Chinese Ceramics", the journal of the China Ceramics Association.

In 2012, "Ice Grained Stone Scoop Pot" and "Big Primrose Pot" were permanently collected by Wuxi Museum

In 2012, "Ice Patterned Stone Scoop Pot" won the Excellence Award in the "Boshan Cup" Art Competition held by the China Ceramics Association.

In 2012, "Xingao Fengliang Festival" won the second prize in the "Tea Bo Cup" fine pot competition organized by the Provincial Ceramics Industry Association.

In January 2014, "Xingao Fengliang Festival Pot" was permanently collected by China Zisha Museum

In October 2014, the work "Fang Qingya Yun Pair of Pots" won the silver medal in the first Jiangsu Ceramic Art Festival.

In March 2015, the work "Fang Qingya Yun Pair of Pots" won the silver medal in the China Ceramic Art Exhibition and the 10th National Ceramic Art Design Innovation Competition.

In April 2015, the work "Fang Qingya Yun Duihu" obtained the design patent certificate from the National Intellectual Property Bureau. The patent numbers are ZL.2015.30085705.3/ZL.2015.30085703.4
