He is an outstanding potter of the young and middle-aged generation and an outstanding inheritor of Yixing purple sand pottery. The elder brother is Yuan Guoqiang, a senior engineer in 2013, who was personally taught by Master He Daohong. In 1988, he entered Yixing Zisha Craft Factory and became a disciple of Ding Yaping. In 1997, he entered the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts for further studies and received guidance from Xu Hantang, a master of arts and crafts.
