[Strong hands-on skills, meticulous craftsmanship] - Xie Junqian, a national assistant arts and crafts artist, was born in Yixing, the capital of pottery, in 1989. In 2012, he studied with his mother Xia Ruijuan and was mentored by his grandfather Xu Yunchao. Later, through his mother's words and deeds, and years of hard practice, he established a solid basic pot-making skills. He constantly summarized the pot-making experience of his predecessors and was taught by his teacher Gu Daorong, a master of ceramic art in Jiangsu Province. Skills, learning from the strengths of others, while inheriting the tradition, thinking and developing his own unique creations, he soon became a rising star in the pot-making industry, and his excellent works are favored by the majority of enthusiasts.
