[Senior Strength of Zisha] - Tang Hongping, born in Dingshu Town, Yixing City in 1971, is a national-level senior arts and crafts artist. He has been influenced by his family's pottery since childhood. In 1989, he was inspired by his sister Tang Hongdi to engage in the purple clay industry, and later studied under senior arts and crafts artist Chen Zhengchu. In May 2015, he became a teacher of Mr. Wu Yaping, a researcher-level senior arts and crafts artist. Under the guidance of Wang Yinxian, Qiu Yulin, Xu Daming and other masters, his quality has become increasingly sophisticated and his skills have been fully demonstrated.

The work strives to innovate on the basis of the tradition of purple sand, focusing on balancing the three aspects of appreciation, art, and practicality. It pays attention to the presentation of the essence, energy, and spirit of the pot, and highlights and enhances the artistic level and connotation of the work. His works have won many awards in exhibition reviews and have been collected by many museums and regional collectors.
