[Two famous teachers and apprentices] Liu Qingzhong (Jingyuan), born in 1986, graduated from Wuxi Vocational and Technical College in 2008. In 2013, he studied purple sand pottery carving with Wang Xiang, a contemporary master of purple sand carving. Mr. Liu learned pot-making skills from Mr. Wang Qiang, the founder of Wutang.

The style of Liu Qingzhong's works is simple and natural, with plum blossoms engraved on the pot body, giving it an artistic conception of floating subtle fragrance. The pot is light in weight, which shows that the teacher is skilled in making clay tablets.
